Este hotel de 1930, diseñado por el arquitecto finlandés Wivi Lönn, se encuentra en el lago Saimaa. El castillo de Olavinlinna está a solo 400 metros. La Ubicación perfecta, personal de cocina muy amable, , hotel antiguo pero muy bien cuidado y limpio, cama muy comoda. Desayuno muy variado. Ambiente tranquilo. Vista excepcional a pocos metros de la playa. Savolinna un destino de visita obligada si vienes a Finlandia.

Spahotel Casino is located on a private island on Lake Saimaa, 500 m from city center of Savonlinna and the 15th-century Olavinlinna Castle is 1.5 km away. Rooms are good. As we all are vegetarian..so took only coffee and croissant

The breakfast was plentiful with a very good croissant in a nearby restaurant.

Este hotel está situado a 500 metros de la estación de tren de Savonlinna y a 10 minutos a pie del castillo de Olavinlinna, del siglo XV. TV y minibar. The property is perfectly located next to the center, market, restaurants, grocery shop, train station, boat piers, only the long distance bus station is inconveniently located in totally different neighborhood. The room is modest and the bathroom somewhat inconvenient because of the placement of sanitary fittings in the bathroom. Anyway, everything was doing its job in a satisfactory way. It is also true that the price was quite high, but this is something that is so understandable for the July when famous opera festival/event takes place in the nearby castle/fortress of Olavinlinna. Also, I have noticed that Savonlinna, even without the opera festival is so admired by so many visitors from all parts of Finland and foreign countries, myself included, because of its astonishing beauty and possibility to enjoy in so many sights and activities. To conclude, although the room was simple and modest and although the price was high, I would return to this property because it represents a very good choice for staying and enjoying wonderful Savonlinna.
