We would like to introduce you to The Tempus at Charlton Hall Estate, a decadent place where colours collide, and imaginations are captured. We stayed at a brand new hotel called The Tempus on the Charlton Hall Estate. Charlton Hall is now only run as a wedding venue. The Tempus is a beautiful hotel with state of the art technology for controlling room lights, temperature in the room, etc. The decor is colourful and flamboyant with a fun vibe and tastefully done. The dining room is cheerful and the bar cozy. The food was excellent. There was also plenty of parking, a necessity as it is out in the country. I would highly recommend a stay at The Tempus.

Beaumont Hotel is situated in the heart of the market town of Hexham, less than 10 minutes’ walk to the rail station. Understated elegance in every aspect, and outstanding quality in every aspect as well! Rooms - size, decor, amenities, view, rooftop patio for one of our rooms, both rooms just wonderful! A very nice, new, efficient, quiet, elevator Parking - right in front of the hotel ! Location - across from a beautiful park and close to town center Food - beyond excellent !! Dinner, breakfast, wine list far exceeded expections!! Value for cost: while not , definitely feel like we received extremely high quality service, lodging,, food and drink for the price Owner/Manager Roger - went above and beyond, sharing menu information, wine suggestions, food options for our two 9 year old children The rest of the staff were equally inviting and helpful at all times, from our reception host on 6/15 to the he lady staff member who helped me find more sugar at 0500 on 6/16 to our waitstaff. We stayed in 5 different hotels during our trip to England, all of the same "level", and this hotel far exceeded all others on this trip, and definitely in the top 5 of all hotels in our lifetime travels in terms of the combination of all factors that make a stay pleasant - elegance, quality, amenities, convenience, service. Well done!!

England's most northerly hotel, just 300 yards from the Scottish Border, the Marshall Meadows Manor House is set in 15 acres woodland gardens and boasts sea views and good food. Stately manor, history, parking, walking distance to Scottish border along the coast line, nice staff, lovely food, very fancy

Lairds House has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Bedlington. The property is around 20 km from Northumbria University, 20 km from Theatre Royal and 21 km from Newcastle Train Station. Lairds stood absolutely to my expectations and more so. A great staff and great food. The room was clean warm and "cosy" in an old fashion way. A quiet place with no disturbing traffic..Absolutely A place to visit.

The Greenhead Hotel has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Greenhead. This 3-star hotel offers a business centre and free WiFi. Området var rolig, og personalet var veldig hyggelig. Gjestfrie. Ble tatt godt i mot selvom jeg var helt utslitt av å gå ca. 2 mil. Rommet var til over forventing, med badekar midt i rommet. I tillegg til eget stort bad med dusj. Veldig romlig.

Featuring free WiFi and a terrace, The Cookie Jar (Alnwick) was formerly the Convent of Mercy, and is just 0.2 miles from the centre of Alnwick. Words really fail me to explain how special this property was. The attention to every single detail was exquisite. I’m a professional organizer. My business is details. I’ve never seen anything like this. Everything - even the lights on the floor that automatically come on when you walk into the bathroom - was planned perfectly when this former convent was remodeled to make a sacred space for all its guests. There was even framed sheet music in the halls to, I assume, pay homage to the beautiful music that must’ve once graced the hallways. The staff was so warm and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was like something out of a Veranda magazine spread. The breakfast was delicious. At every turn in the hotel and the room itself, we were met with a delightful and unexpected experience. Who puts this much thought into a public space? The Cookie Jar does. You made our once-in-a-lifetime trip unforgettable.

Nestled in the picturesque Northumbrian village of Eglingham, The Tankerville Arms offers a bar and a restaurant. This luxury coaching inn also has free Wi-Fi throughout and free on-site parking. A really lovely pub with comfy rooms very close to Alnwick. We stayed here for 2 nights and ate in the restaurant both evenings. The staff were all very helpful and the food was excellent.

In the heart of Northumberland, Matfen Hall Country Hotel, Spa and Golf Estate is a true escape to a luxurious world. Beautiful period property which has recently been renovated. The rooms are very spacious and luxurious.
