Overlooking the Dolomites and Piazza Walther, Bolzano's main square, Hotel Greif is a design hotel set in a historical building. It offers a free gym and stylish rooms with free WiFi and wooden... Room was well appointed and had a good working desk and light. The shower area was larger than usual and the glass screen actually kept all the water in the bath. Skylight window electrically operated worked well and allowed some fresh air into the room even when raining. Breakfast was excellent with the service outstanding with specialized eggs cooked, freshly squeezed juice and hot well-brewed coffee. A great selection of fruits, yoghurt and breads/cakes. Great location for old city area.

La Briosa felt like home in the best way possible. Despite us being in a foreign country, the staff here made us feel like family with their hospitality. The hotel architecture itself is gorgeous, it is located very centrally with easy access to the main attractions and stations in Bolzano, and the rooms are extremely comfortable and spacious. The breakfast is the best I've had in Italy, and that is saying something as hotel breakfasts in this country are generally great, but La Briosa took it a level above. The food here was better than many Michelin starred restaurants! Both my girlfriend and I loved our stay here and would rate it as one of the best hotel experiences we've ever had, much better even then most super expensive resorts around the world. I would rate this place a 20 out of 10 if I could! Thank you La Briosa!

Offering a seasonal outdoor pool and a sauna, Hotel Ansitz Rungghof is located in Cornaiano in the Trentino Alto Adige Region, 26 km from Merano. Breakfast setting outdoors under the grape vines with a view of the mountains couldn't have been better. It is quite a relaxing atmosphere (except for the birds and wasps!). I would only say that a buffet would be preferred so we could select the specific items and quantities desired. The quality was good and the dinners at both the bistro and restaurant were terrific. The website photos of the hotel setting do not do it justice!
