We were kindly upgraded to the classic suite which was so beautiful, everything about it was special. Each room is set in original caves which have been refurbished to the highest standard. Very comfortable bed. Centrally located near shops and restaurants. We enjoyed a welcome wine on arrival and the breakfast options were varied and exceptional. Would definitely recommend and hope to return.

Le Malve Cave Retreat Cave Retreat is located in Sasso Caveoso, the historic part of Matera. It boasts air-conditioned rooms with a town-view balcony and a buffet breakfast. We like everything about the property, the perfect location in the center of old city of Matera. We had the chance to have a room upgrade and we really liked the room. The staff was excellent and we didn't have anything to complain about.
