The location of the place was great and the staff was awesome so was the breakfast, but what made this stay exceptional is due to one individual,his name is Ognjen (Ogi)..He went above and beyond from the very first day, before we’ve even checked in..Ogi was extremely professional, friendly and very knowledgeable and helpful about anything we’ve needed, I definitely recommend anyone reading this to come and stay here, you won’t regret it. 10/10

First of all, we booked our stay for my girlfriend's birthday, and let me tell you, they really did their best. I contacted them in advance to ask if we could arrange a pleasant surprise for her, and nothing was too much. They decorated the room with balloons, rose petals and even made a special cake just for her, OFCOURSE her birthday was already made because of the hospitality the owners and staff give you. Furthermore, the breakfast was always great, location is close to the beach so u can just take go for a swim whenever you feel like. Also there are plenty of things to do and see in the neighbourhood.

Everything was amazing, the staff are really friendly and make you feel like you are in your home, professional, smiling, and cooperative. The location is perfect though to every place in the town and reachable, being between local houses makes me feel that I am going to my home at night every day and gave us a lovely experience. The cleanliness was amazing and also the breakfast was delicious and varied a lot. I will definitely come back with my family in the summer and I will recommend Hotel Idila to my friends. It was worth every penny that I paid.

The hotel was very clean and modern and easy to find. The owners were kind and helpful. Free parking in front of the hotel or paid parking inside the garage, so we didn't have to worry about that. Daily trash cleaning, toilet paper restock, bedsheet, and pillow change during our 5 night stay. Even though the hotel was located uphill, they had organized free transport from the beach to the hotel at fixed hours. We didn't use it at all, but it is a very good thing to have as an option. The owner was very helpful and welcoming and immediately told us where to go and what to do even without asking. Props to that. There was a digital safe box for valuables.

Budva in low season is best.
Budva in low season is best. Otherwise it is crowded with (party) tourists. There are many beach areas along the beach line. The ground also varies from sandy to stony. There are chargable sunbed and parasol sets a also free ones that belong to restaurants where you can stay if you order a drink or food once in a while. Along the promenade are many restaurants, bars and stalls selling souvenirs, clothes, ice cream and more. This looks a little artificial and touristy to us but hey if you enjoy spending money on frills or forgot your beach towels or bikini at home, here you will find replacement. I was not aware that Budva is very popular within Russian tourists. Perceived amount is about 90%. But since it was low season most were families and groups and also very sociable and friendly. I imagine that it might be different in high season when there are many party tourists present. My favourite places were the Old Town "Stari Grad" with its citadel and Kamenovo beach and Jaz beach. There are plenty agencies that sell excursions by bus or boat in the surroundings. If you are an individualist, renting a car or motorbike is a great idea to explore the surroundings on your own. Visiting Sveti Stefan, the many beaches of the Budva Riviera, Skoderske Jezero, Bay of Kotor of even further like Albania (Tirana or Durres) or Dubrovnik... everything is doable.
