Small island with local population. What is great because you get to see the real life on Maldives. Island is very well looked after and seems to be cleaner than others we have seen. People are very friendly and helpful. There are couple of shops and couple of restaurants as well. There are 2 bikini beaches what are relatively big and there is plenty of space. Every hotel provides free sun beds and umbrellas. Some hotels provide free kayaks some will charge you 10$. Food is relatively cheap and pretty much the same everywhere. Cafe 420 is amazing for Fresh juices and submarines (sandwiches). Faruma restaurant was good and had the biggest portions. Cozy cafe was mostly for locals and is dirt cheap. You can also go into any hotel/guest house for dinner. Prices vary but hotels are usually a bit more expensive. Be prepared that all of the food is cooked specifically for you and sometimes wait time can be long. All in all we loved Dhiffushi and will come back there. It is a very very calm place. Every night people would gather on the beach where hotel staff or locals are feeding sting rays what you can join and feed them by hand. Feeling is unbelievable and very relaxing as well.
It was so nice to stay on a local inhabited island before going off to our remote island. The locals were nice and friendly. Our hotel was simple but did the job and it was beach front with roof top access which had a fabulous view. We loved the Maldives
the maafushi island is the one of the cheapest island in maldives also have a good environment and good beach ! local people there is very friendly and kind.you will not get bored ! there's so many activities to do.
This island is local meaning there ia no alcohol, public signs of affection and you need to cover your body respectfully. There are 2 beaches where you can wear a bikini. They are nice beaches. This island is for those wanting to come to the Maldives on a budget and experience local culture. It is not posh and glamourous....it reminds me more like Goa or Thailand.. ..more 'hippy' and natural. There are plenty of water sports and local cafes which are reasonably priced.
Unfortunately we couldn’t visit the city because we were staying in kodhipparu Maldives which was was too good to be true, precisely. Maldives is a piece from heaven but I’m sure the city would have been fun, will definitely explore it next time in shaa Allah .
This the absolute WORST resort in the Maldives. I’ve been to the Maldives 5 times in 6 years and if this experience were my first I would never return. The staff and management teams are terrible and could careless about you, making your stay memorable or goi g the extra mile to be accommodating. I booked through Booking.com and was guaranteed one price for an all-inclusive package. Upon arrival I was charged $1,120 extra dollars. The resort claims to be all-inclusive but it’s far from all-inclusive. Through Booking.com you can only book a “plus all-inclusive” package which is very limited in what it covers. The staff is rude and does not care about you, your experience or ensuring your stay is a positive experience. Julia the customer service manager does nothing to provide customer service. The staff at the water sports area are rude, lazy and unhelpful. They wouldn’t even help raise a beach umbrella or help pull heavy kayaks to or from the water. The all-inclusive package requires you spend a majority of your holiday figuring out what is and isn’t included as well as making reservations for the all-inclusive options. When signing up for the introductory dive (included in the gold all-inclusive package for free) they do a “bait and switch” but don’t tell you until you get back from the dive that you went on the discovery dive and your “free” dive is now going to cost you $100 USD. My only recommendation for this resort is to avoid at all costs if you want to enjoy your trip to paradise and go to another resort. Avoid this resort, there are 100’s of other resorts in the Maldives, you have plenty of choices - avoid this resort which is posing as a 4-star resort but operates as a 2-star resort (2-star is being very generous).
the resort not comply with booking deals for example you booked all inclusive and the property bring up hidden fees and charges, playing games, also the operative team seems have difficult understanding ,also the operator who responsible for reservation and payments different than resort is terrible not availabe all time, overall i give a1 star rate in compare with other resorts listed in booking maldives .
Good budget hotels around. Nothing too special. There's only one small beach up at the end for swimming. No alcohol in Maldives. We were a little shocked to find a prison on one end of the tiny island. It was also a bit difficult getting a boat to the airport. You either need to find a group to split the fee or find a fixed price fare if you're alone or a couple.
Maafushi offers a fantastic alternative to expensive resorts in Maldives. It has its own lovely beach and there are many excursions to choose from to take you off the island 🌴
Hulhumale is a great affordable way to enjoy Maldives. Travellers please note that no Alchohol is allowed in Hulhumale and you will not get it anywhere.
Hulhumale
Really great service and THE FOOD was soo good! Breakfast was alright, but the dinner I ordered was delicious! Maybe some of the best during my 3 weeks stay in Maldives, and I've stayed on local islands, a safari liveaboard, and a resort island! The room felt a bit smaller than advertised (each room option shows a variety of rooms), but it was definitely spacious enough for me to do everything I needed to (a lot of packing sorting of 3 suitcases & boxes for an event). Wifi was great, and the service was wonderful, thank you!!
Male City
I have been to Maldives three times and this was the best. Not sure from where to start, we arrived in the morning, the warm welcome by the staff was sincere, we requested early check in and the villa was ready. The Resort is so clean, very green and the villa is very spacious and comfortable in all its small and big details. The smell of the villa puts you immediately into a relaxing mood. We were assigned Ouzz for our stay and he had definitely made it a special one with all his support and availability to address all our needs.
Hulhumale
Everything about my stay was exceptional; the room, view, food, neighborhood, amenities, & the all of the staff went above & beyond to make my stay comfortable & care free, & they actually appeared to enjoy their jobs. The property owner is very fortunate to have staff that truly understand the concept of providing customer service, something that is sorely lacking in so many places, even the USA. Thanks to them all I had a fabulous time in the Maldives, & will recommend your facility on social media.
North Male Atoll
That was our second time to have visit a Villa Hotels at Maldives. Sun Island was the destination last year and Paradise Island was it this year. We really got the way of experiences what we accepted here. It was not crowded. The ocean wes incredibly blue. Foods were delicious and variable. The treatments of Araamu Spa were the peak of our holiday. (we were there 3 times). We spent our time after dinner at the Hulhanghu Bar. We were really satisfied with the service of three waitress, waiter (photos of them attached)
Male City
we fell in love with the beauty of the island and the warmth of its people From the moment we arrived at the airport until we left, we were delighted to choose Baros Island as a destination in the Maldives, you can observe coral reefs a few meters from the shore, encounter different species of colorful fish while snorkeling. It has 3 restaurants with different menus, everything is delicious. Aslah was attentive to what we needed, supporting us in everything, our experience would not have been perfect without her help
I like the Host, he was very supportive and caring. He wait for us at the Harbor even though we did not ask him to do so. Also during check out he arranged a speed boat and sent his assistant with us in the boat to help us as the sea was little rough that time. understand he is a person with wide knowledge about Maldives and he speak very good English There is very nice beach close to the Hotel I don't remember the name. Another beach, Bikni beach also within walkable distance and was very good.
Gulhi
Just walking distance to the beautiful beach, the sea & beach is like privately owned by the hotel (but in fact it's belongs to the public). Nice sea breeze and sea weave's sound is like none stop melody, keep on changing but still maintaining certain pattern of melody. Friendly hotel staffs serving you from stepping in the hotel until leaving. Food is nice as I like Maldivian food very much. Hotel room is comfortable. Will definitely stay here when I come to Maldives again.
Hulhumale
A good place to stay if you have to spend a night in Male. We did it twice - on arrival and return. Hotel staff was super helpful. Taxi - no problem, money change - good rate, very early breakfast - no problem, packed breakfast - no problem. They spoke good English - we found it rather unusual in Maldives later on. Hotel manager agreed to keep our big suitcase for a week at no cost. Thanks to this we travelled further on to local islands with a hand luggage only.
Breakfast was good; especially the coffee! Staff was always extra friendly and helpful. I got a chance to meet both the Hotel Manager and the General Manager. I expressed my gratitude for the warm reception I received as well as my appreciation for being allowed to check in early, after a 3 1/2 hour jet ferry boat ride back to Male'. I will definitely stay here again on my next vacation trip to the Maldives in the Fall.
The staff were very accommodating and polite! Getting the room with sea view is just so worth it! Waking up to that beach view out of your window is just stunning! Overall the experience was fantastic and great value for money, since this property being new and well looked after makes your stay one you’ll want to repeat if you’re coming to the Maldives and wanting to stay near the airport for a short stay or whatever reason.
Mahibadhoo
Genuinely friendly staff, answered all our questions, helped us explore the island, arranged a great whale shark snorkelling trip just for my family. Hotel food was the best we had in the Maldives. Hotel was very very clean (all the places we stayed in Maldives were clean). Island had an amazing house reef if you are a competent swimmer, also good for paddle boarding. Just brilliant place to go.
The property was beautiful, clean and well manage, Breakfast was good Nearest private bikani beach, nearest Indian food, hotel staff is very good and polite, the manager Remu very polite and friendly in nature, Hotel provide snorking and day tour facility it's good, if you are planning to Maldives please book this property in gulhi island it's nice...Thanks all to made my tour wonderful
Hulhumale
Nice and decent place to stay. Staffs are very friendly. All type of restaurants continental, Indian, Asian etc are near by. Has in-house Thai restaurant. Lot of Water sports facilities are available nearby. 20 minutes walk for ferry terminal. PCR testing lab is nearby. Got complimentary dinner on my last night before I left Maldives. Nice place to stay for family and lone travelers
South Male Atoll
Hard Rock Hotel Maldives incredible team of workers are excellent, impressively with great attention to details making our stay and experience so memorable and unforgettable. Very wide selection of great food, wines & cocktails. Private dinning on the beach is a must! Thanks so much to Chef Ruben, F&B Chaya, Team Yusef, Server Dane & Afsar.
Just came back for our family vacation in Maldives, The stay at Oblu Xperience was Exceptional! Clean, neat and good food. The staff in specific was fabulous and very friendly! My daughter was exited by the welcoming she received at the restaurant from Shy ans Nia. Would definitely recommend this Hotel to families.
Hotel staff is very nice. In the northern part of the Maldives, the hotel is very cost-effective. The room has a very good viewing platform. There are not many tourists in the hotel, it is very quiet and leisurely, there are few people in the public swimming pool, and there are fewer people in the bar.
Hulhumale
The place is new, clean, and the staffs were extremely friendly and helpful, they cater to your every needs! They will also help you find and tailor tours to other island with better price than ones that you might find and book online. Will definitely stay here again when I visit Maldives again.
Male City
Stephanie and the other male staff were very helpful. Stephanie provided us as many tips about where to eat, ferry schedule, etc even though she was only a couple months in Maldives. The male staff was very attentive and helpful, carrying the bags and even got us a taxi.
Maafushi
Staffs specifically Samy was so nice and exceptional. Breakfast was so full and tasty. Highly recommender😊😊😊Maldives Maafushi Island Arora Inn Hotel is the best Hotel for family tour in budget cost. Please contact Mr Samy + 9607838003 for more informetion.
