The Peppertree is situated in the heart of the Marlborough wineries and olive groves. The rooms have direct access to its extensive garden. The area is well known for wine tasting. Beautiful property. nothing was too much trouble for the owners.

Location location location! Rooms have everything you could need, and were spotless. l like most hotels and motels on the South Island there is no aircon. Just open the windows to let that beautiful cool evening air in and enjoy the views

Good boutique hotel that well operated , in good location, with beautiful room, great bathroom, great bed and excellent restaurant. Very good value for money ~ one of best in Picton. Scenic Hotel Marlborough is a modern and stylish property located in the heart of Marlborough Wine Country. Facilities include a spa pool, sauna, restaurant and bar. Guests enjoy free WiFi. I was very happy with my entire stay. ( 10 nights ). Room was excellent. Location very convenient. Bed was comfortable. I would definitely stay again and would recommend it yo others.

Set beside Picton Harbour, this stylish and modern hotel provides a great base to explore the dramatic local coastline and New Zealand's wine country. Everything! We stay here every time we come to Picton. It has location location location! It also has lovely comfortable spacious clean rooms. The breakfast is generous and delicious and the staff are always delightful.

Just 15 minutes by boat from Picton, The Portage Resort offers rooms with a private balcony or patio and features stunning views of the Marlborough Sounds.You can relax by the outdoor pool, go fishing... The hotel is under new management and I could not fault it. The staff were welcoming, attentive and super friendly. The reception and restaurant area looked newly renovated and was modern and fresh. My meal in the restaurant was very tasty. The bed was incredibly comfortable and I slept well. And the General Manager very kindly dropped me back to the start of the QC track in the morning. Plus the sunset view from the bar is breathtaking. Don’t be put off By the bad reviews - the new management seem to be doing a fantastic job!
