A hidden gem in a beautiful mountain village. We booked this last minute as a stopover for one night and regretted not staying longer. A small, cozy, family run hotel. The staff were really helpful and pleasant. The food was delicious and the ambience was very relaxing. You cant go wrong with this lovely hotel.

Set in Castelo de Vide and within 8.3 km of Roman City of Ammaia, CASA DO PAÇO NOVO features a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi throughout the property. The location was fantastic, in the center of the village. Our room had a view of the mountains, the staff were very attentive, the cleanliness and hygiene of the room were impeccable. Situated in 2 small traditional whitewashed houses in Marvão, this charming pousada offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains from its restaurant. Although the accommodation was simple, it was spacious and comfortable.The view from the dining room was astounding and breakfast was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful.

This 3-star hotel is located in Portagem, on the banks of the Sever River, where guests can enjoy a public pool. It has free WiFi and views of the historic village of Marvão. It is kind of hard to find place. It is a small hotel in a beautiful green place. We had been upgraded to (2) rooms with balcony and a view of the restaurant and the river and the surrounding mountains. We enjoyed that very much and thank you for that bonus. The breakfast was good, not excellent,We tried to convince the lady to make for us eggs sunny side up but we got scrambled eggs. It is not a big deal. Al in all it is a beautiful, nice and very clean place to stay. Well worth the money.
