Good breakfast and refreshing pool. The beds were comfortable and the location is perfect. Down the street from the main road. Lots of food, shopping and music around the corner. Very helpful staff. My mother forgot her purse in the can to the ferry and the owner was able to contact the driver and get her bag back to us in time. tastefully decorated.

Set within a 15-minute walk from Khukkhak Beach, The Retreat Khaolak Resort - SHA Extra Plus offers modern rooms with balcony and free WiFi. We had an amazing stay at The Retreat. We booked for 3 nights and ended up stay ing for 6! Mr Op and kis sidekick Suka are just the nicest people - so friendly and try their best to assist you with anything you need. Yes, the hotel is 1.5km from the beach BUT there are free bicycles you can use to get to the beach (a flat ride) and scooters to hire if you want to explore further. The breakfast each morning was simple but far better than other hotels we stayed at in Phuket. Fresh fruit, a variety of pancakes or french toast, cereals, eggs, bacon etc. We had a great time and would highly recommend.

What truly made my visit memorable was the warmth of the hotel staff. They were attentive and genuinely caring.

Very clean and friendly staff that immediately solves any issues we had, like the clogged drain in the shower. I’ve just mentioned it ones and 30 minutes later everything was well done! Absolutely worth it to stay!!!

The hotel has only been ‘soft’ open for a few days and although the reception area was not completed, this in no way detracted from the great beachside location. Our pool villa was full of light, with contemporary furnishings and a super comfortable bed. All the staff we interacted with were very friendly and always helpful, although a little more English would be perfect. We shall be back for longer next time

Både frokosten og maten vi bestilte gjennom rom service var god. Personalet var veldig hyggelige og gjorde det lille ekstra for at vi skulle ha et fint opphold. Beliggenheten er perfekt, ca 10 min å gå til hovedgaten i Khao Lak med restauranter, kafeer og butikker.

A beautiful Beach front -full serviced -Resort hotel with full amenities. The Villas were spacious with balcony. Breakfast buffet had Egg and noodle station, with fresh fruit, fruit juices and cold and hot breakfast buffet offerings. Amazing property! Perfect for my purpose of the trip, I booked expecting to have a chill, beachside vacation with my mum. It’s suitable for older people and family. Price to performance ratio is good. Yes, it’s a bit old and don’t expect a five star service for the price paid, obviously. But staff is kind, rooms are adequate and everything was perfect. I will choose to stay again. There is also a beachside massage service from the hotel which was nice. Happy hour was great.

Loved returning to this resort after 5 years to find the same high standard of service and comfort we loved the first time round. Such a great place to relax and unwind with no one pressing to buy or upsell - while being just a short 2 minute stroll to the start of Khao Laks restaurants and entertainment.

Frokosten var veldig variert og bra. Bassengene mellom bygningene var supre - og det lille med tak nede ved stranden var fint for å barn å leke i samtidig som de ble beskyttet mot sol. Lett tilgang på drikkevann var et pluss. Rommene var fine og rene, Bamseklubben var også popular for fireåringen - det var også mini-disko på kvelden, men koreografien var for komplisert for små barn (som utgjorde flertallet).

After a few minor hiccups on arrival, mostly outside of the hotel’s control, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate and resolve things for us. The room and resort were absolutely beautiful along with the incredible food. 5* service from all the staff and we will definitely be staying again on our return to Thailand. Max and the manager deserve a particular shout out and thank you for making sure we were well looked after. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
