Very clean Tranquil - it has two other options for restaurants nearby (we recommend the fox and the firefly a few steps away from the resort) and a lovely local village. TukTuks are available to take you to places further away. Beautiful, traditional cottages. Extremely accommodating and hardworking staff who love to help. Gardens are stunning. Rooms cleaned every day. Food prepared was delicious and always fresh. We ate at the property 3/5 night for dinner. Breakfast had many options and all very good portion sizes/very tasty. Fresh towels and bedding ever other day We did a firefly tour with them which they booked 400 pesos. Cathy (the cook’s) husband was our driver for the ‘Countryside tour’. We visited chocolate hills, Tarsier sanctuary, secret falls and the double hanging bridge for a good price! He was also available to take us to the island hopping tour - I would suggest booking this with a company before you arrive then ask Cool River to arrange transport. A additional fan is offered in each room for no additional cost. We had such a lovely stay and loved being surrounded by nature!

In fact, my entire trip to the Philippines was planned around this one resort stay for three days. The bed was unbelievably comfortable. The staff was superb, and the food was amazing at the restaurant I booked two excursions with Troy, paddle boarding with fireflies and paddle boarding the river. He was exceptional. I also had a massage as well, which was outstanding.

Our room was really big, bed was comfortable, food in the resort was really tasty. The pool was lovely and big! We spent 2 nights here and I would of stayed another couple of nights but we had to move on to the next place. The staff were so friendly and they even memorised our names which made us feel even more welcome. I will be recommending this resort to anyone who visits Bohol!

The room is nice, bed very comfy, bathroom nice, although there are details to the room and the resort and service that simply don't justify the cost if you're looking for a little luxury like they seem to be advertising with the photos. The restaurant food is tasty, servcie terribly slow. The breakfast buffet is somewhat poor.
