Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

FranceWhen you arrive after the check-in hours, you have to get the keys in another hotel. When I went there, the person didn't speak that much English and wasn't very polite. So when I had trouble to open the door, I had to go back to the train station to ask someone who could speak German to call this person to know how to go in the hotel. And to be honest, in the middle of the night, it doesn't feel safe at all to walk around. In the end, the door to opened isn't the most obvious one but one besides it. And when I went there, there were 2 drunk people so I didn't feel very safe.
The place was clean and functional. It is very near the train station.

United KingdomWhere do I start, toilet was minging dirty not what you expect from a hotel. They got my booking for the wrong day. He did manage to find me a room. But it was on the 5th floor and lift was out of action. As I'm 67 and suffer with osteoarthritis walking up to the room nearly killed me. The room was grubby and not very clean at all. I had booked a room with a en-suite toilet, but they gave a room with a shared bathroom, which was in disgusting state dirty and minging. To sum up would I go to this hotel again, absolutely not. If you are thinking of booking this hotel don't!!!

United StatesBiggest problem was they kept parking a giant linen cart at the base of the only stairway--a clear fire hazard. And bathrooms are only on two floors out of five. Wifi worked ok, but not always dependable.
Good value for money and extremely well located for getting around the area, right by the main station. Decently clean but could be better. Staff was helpful enough. They made the bed every day.

Czech RepublicThe streets around the Main Train Station are filled with homeless people (and everything that comes with them), so if anyone is sensitive to this, probably it's not a good place to choose. However, we did not feel unsafe at all.
Perfect for what we needed - right in front of the Main train station, so it's super easy to get literally anywhere from the hotel. We only needed one night before we headed to the airport, and this was a good budget choice.
