How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

In my opinion, the room is small for a couple. The walls are poorly insulated, during the night we could heard the noises from the other rooms.
The main advantage of this property is its location. You are in the heart of the city center, close to the main attractions and very well connected.

We tried to reach out to drop our bags off early but didn't get a response with how to do that. With such a late check-in, it would have been nice to have that option.
Beautiful, modern, spacious rooms. Location was amazing, especially for the price. I would highly recommend this hotel!

- We woke up a couple of times through the night due to noise within the corridor/lobby
- Although most of the communication with the staff was virtual, they were very helpful - Rooms are good (although on the smaller side, they have everything) - I think one of the best aspects of this accommodation was the location, it's within walking distance to the historic sites within the old town, yet very close to the Metro and to the buses that go to l'Albufera & Arts and Science City.

It would be a nice benefit to get a bottle of spring water on the room at the arrival. It is difficult to get some after a late arrival. The water from the tap was too warm, even turned from the cold tap position.

Fantastic location. Nice clean and comfortable room. comfortable bed and pillows with plenty of spare pillows. The hotel staff are really friendly and self check in was really easy and straightforward. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

One coffee per person (sometimes one additional decaffeinated) didn't go far (especially during a big fiesta when many people are out for most of the night)
Great bed, lovely bedding. Complimentary water and fruit was a nice touch. Fantastic location for "Las Fallas," Central but not too noisy, close to shops & restaurants, everything you need

I wish that there were drinks offered like water or even some bar soap. They did give body wash which was good but no shampoo or conditioner.
The location was great. It was close to a lot of shops and restaurants. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The cleaner and the staff i talked to on the phone, Diana and Arantxa were wonderful and very helpful.

I was pleased, so no complaints.
The location is very central, clean and comfortable. Lovely quiet area close to everything in Old Town. Restaurants practically at your doorstep. Groceries and shopping within a 3 minute walk. Very close to the central park. I would definitely stay again upon my return.

Some of the other guests were quite noisy, woke us up several times during our stay. Without a physical reception in the building, people can act any way they feel.... which can disturb other guests.
Really easy checkin process, friendly staff (even though the entire interaction was via WhatsApp). Great location, easy to get around any points of interest.

It was me and my wife's 4th wedding anniversary so I surprised her with a short trip to Spain first to Castellon de la Plana and 2 days and a half we spent in Valencia. The accommodation was absolutely amazing. Everything went smoothly with check in and check out even though they do not use classic reception. More and less you are chating on a help line and as a first time using that kind of technique it is really easy. I absolutely recommend to stay at Blanq hotel. Room and bathroom clean and spacious. It has a TV and a small fridge where you can store some cervecas to remain cold. Hallways and other facilities are bright and modern. LOVED IT
