Slight limitation comes when accommodation is not in the main building; no ironing facilities unless you lug your clothing down the street to the main hotel, which is not appropriate!! This should be addressed.

The location and staff service were excellent. Also, the availability of beverages throughout the day was very excellent, which included prosecco in the evenings.

We had the most wonderful welcome when we arrived at the hotel and throughout our stay every member of staff was just lovely and very helpful. The hotel and its rooms are beautiful and the location perfect for exploring delightful Lucca. The breakfast was fresh and of a high quality. We cannot wait to return!

The room was small for the price. There was not enough storage space for clothes, and it would have been nice to have a magnifying mirror for make up.

The location is fantastic - literally just outside the wall so you can park your car at the hotel and just walk to everything. They have a very generous check out time of noon. They provide some snacks and drinks in the lobby for free and every evening there is champagne and snacks from 5pm - 7pm. The staff are very helpful making reservations at restaurants , looking up Sunday mass times, providing discounted tickets to the nightly Puccini concert (which was amazing) Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was lovely and plentiful. We would definitely stay there again!

There is not a bar/lounge as we expected there might be, however drinks were served by the staff on request and there are two large sofas in the reception where you could relax outside of the room plus a terrace.

Just been recently re-decorated. Clean, modern, welcoming. Lovely comprehensive breakfast with fab friendly staff. Happy hour with free glass of Prosecco at 5pm! Great base to discover Lucca from.

This hotel is in a great location for visiting Lucca with great access to the city center. Also, it is a short walk from the train station. The staff here were very helpful.

This hotel is located just inside the wall, so there was easy access to restaurants, shops, and historical sites. The room was clean, bed comfortable, staff friendly, and breakfast was great. Our 3rd stay there…. A great value!

We thought the pillows were a little too firm.. but probably some people like that! No problem!

The breakfast was wonderful, and the ladies who served us were exceptional! The staff at the desk were the most consistently polite and sweet and helpful of any place we’ve been. The window of the room was fantastic. We don’t expect a large room in Europe.. it was just right. Quiet and comfortable. We also loved the hot tub!

The bed had no headboard so it was not comfortable to sit in to watch tv or be propped up while sleeping. I would have preferred shampoo in the bathroom and not just body gel. Also I did not like the old fashioned Italian wall mount hairdryer. Not deal breakers though.

Beautiful hotel in a great location for sightseeing. The staff is friendly and helpful. The morning breakfast is fantastic! Large amount of food choices and all delicious. Great coffee too. Our room was in the tower annex which was interesting. The room was large and clean. Bathroom was large and nice. Plenty of counter space. Overall hotel stay was very pleasant and I would recommend. Hotel had bikes for guests and that was nice for riding up on the wall.

I can't think of a single thing that could have been improved on.

Everything was perfect from the moment we walked in. The staff were friendly and very professional. The room was perfect for a one night stay and the location was exceptional. It was the "little extras" that made this place remarkable; the free cafeteria, the complimentary prosecco etc. We would never consider anywhere else in Lucca should we require accommodation there again.

We have stayed here before, so we really like the convenience of the location within the walls, especially so as one of us was heavily pregnant this time! Reception staff very helpful and spoke to us in clear Italian so we could practice our Italian - not everyone will do this as it’s easier for them to switch to English. Good breakfast.
