Although the bed was nice, the room was very small. Moving around it was like reshuffling a Rubik's Cube every time my partner or I needed the bathroom! This is not the hotel's fault, but Suzukino is a bit of a hike from Sapporo station. It's also not a great area. I would recommend trying to get an APA closer to the station. Finally, I feel like they might want to dial back the nationalism a touch within the hotel. The front desk had little Japanese flags on it. There were bags of towels that said "Japan Pride". That's not something I've seen before in a hotel that caters to guests from overseas. In that context, it might feel like they're trying to say something. For further context, just Wikipedia the owner of APA Hotel, Everyone is entitled to their own opinion of course, but touches like that may make some guests feel a little uncomfortable/unwelcome.

The breakfast was brilliant. Truly one of the best I've ever had. It was tasty with a wide selection of items that were kept hot and replenished. This is something which many hotels do not get right. Really nice, friendly, helpful staff. Free ride from the airport to the hotel in a nice car with a great driver.

It's really not a big deal but as is with all of these business like hotels, when it's a cleaning day for your room you must leave it from 10:00 till 15:00. So be ready to count that in your schedule.

Hotel is located in a great location, a walking distance from anything you want to see or buy. The rooms are cleaned regularly and plenty of amenities are provided (toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, shaver etc.). Laundry and microwave are in the same place and everything works fine.

The room was too small. There was not even enough room to store my luggage without putting it under a desk. I barely had room to get dressed. It felt like a capsule hotel for the price of a full room. I should have booked a bigger room.

I believe the bathroom wasn't cleaned before we arrived. When I went to use it for the first time, there was only 1 full roll of toilet paper (out of 2) and the other one was pretty much out already. My friend noted that there were pee stains on the toilet seat as well. When I requested for room cleaning the next day, I was told that cleaning only took place on the 3rd day of the stay, even though we were only staying for 2 days...so take that as you will when booking here. The front desk didn't inform us about room cleaning procedures/, options, but I think it would be best to do that in the future.

The hotel was in a great location. Being centrally located made it easy to get around to the winter events without needing to take public transportation. Everything we needed was within walking distance (3 min - 15 min). There are two convenience stores within a short distance (Lawson connected to the hotel, 7-11 across the street) as well as many restaurants around the area. They offer many services within the hotel, including breakfast; however I didn't try it. Room was spacious enough and had what we needed for a comfortable stay. The water pressure was amazing!

The 3rd bed was very uncomfortable. Bathroom door locks were spoilt in all our 4 rooms. Very small triple room. Will not stay in this hotel again.

Few front desk staff can understand and speak english. Housekeeping does not clean the rooms everyday. They just leave clean towels and other ammenities outside the door. Check-in is not fast enough.

Nice rooms and soft bed. Very good location, just besides hosui susukino station. Area is not noisy and many convinience store and eating places nearby. Breakfast is a feast. So many foods to choose from every morning. Front desk Ms. Kobayashi was very helpful in monitoring the arrival date of my mail containing the ring of my brother which was accidentaly left in Hakodate. She gave me updates and personally gave it to me when it arrived. She also speaks good english
