How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I didn't get a great view from my room as it was blocked by another building just beside, so I had nothing to see. Maybe if i had upgraded, I might have gotten a better view
Good location. Just beside Kitahama station to travel anywhere in osaka and also have a family mart convenience store just below if you need anything. Nice comfy room. Looks really beautiful and clean

Some of the stuff should improve their English language since they have so many tourists in the hotel.
Nice and clean room with helpful staff and top of the train station and real good value for the money

Hotel was clean and beautiful. Nice breakfast and location next to metro line. Even though the hotel is in quite a busy street we couldn't hear noice from the street to our room. Nothing to complain about.

I wish breakfast had been a little more varied as I have food allergies.
Location was nearly perfect, with subway just around the corner. Also, I found the staff very friendly and they even helped me with my cellphone problem.

Spacious room and very spacious bed! FamilyMart store and bakery on ground floor of the hotel and a metro station below the hotel. Can't get any better!

Twin beds quite close together, almost as a double bed , and beds were too firm and uncomfortable as were the pillows .
Great location right next to the subway. Room was on tbt small side with one bed almost pushed again the wall - although providing one occupant is small they can get out of the bed in that side . Decent bathroom with great shower, good housekeeping kept rooms very clean and brought clean pyjamas and slippers daily ! Ability to help yourself to all required toiletries for the room from reception including face masks and nice tea bags - plus hotel provided free juice /water/coffee from the machines in reception which is a nice touch .

Everything was great, however if I must comment ... there are a number of great take-out food stores and shops in the area, but the hotel did not allow the consumption of "out side food" in the lounge area or on the outdoor verandah. As the rooms are rather small, having somewhere comfortable to sit and eat would have been nice. Having said this, it would not cause me to not recommend or not stay again at this hotel.
From check-in to check-out the staff were friendly and very helpful. The room size was more than adequate for our 5 day stay. Breakfasts were exceptional (Well worth the extra) and set us up perfectly for a full day of travel and sightseeing. There are 2 subway stations in very close proximity to the hotel with a 7-11 downstairs. The complementary PJ's and facial/spa packs were appreciated and a great way to end the day :-)

No cons, a little of a walk to get to a connecting line to Shin Osaka station but not a deal breaker as the walk was pleasant
The staff was excellent, the facility was great, location was great as well. Allowed for us to check in about an hour early ish. Great perks including free coffee and lattes, also allowed for a free drink and cocktail but we were unable to make it.

The light in the bedroom could’ve been less blue. Felt like a warehouse light. But that’s just a very tiny detail. The gym was extremely small for a large hotel. Plus one treadmill was broken so with 3 people in there it was already too much.
The room was a perfect size. Quite larger than we were used to in Japan. The room was clean, the bed quite small but we didn’t really mind. Nice, new (I think?) shower and bathroom. Enough laundry machines available. We loved the breakfast buffet — very healthy and fresh options plus we had access to coffee and tea during the day. Which was perfect because we could get some work done. The self check in / out machines were really smart and time saving too. Perfect location. Literally 2 meters from the subway station and a mini mart.

The room was large, we were upgraded for free on arrival. The check in and out process was easy and the staff were very friendly. The hotel is also well located. It's a little bit away from the main part of town, but it could not be closer to the metro so it was closer than walking from a more central hotel. It's also in a quieter area so it was nice to come back to at night.

Great hotel with super friendly staff, room quite big for Japan, great shower, comfortable bed, nice to have coffee and tea if at the hotel during the day, quiet business area, but bustling Dotonbori only 30 min walk away or even shorter by subway
