Our request was "upper floors please", we've got a dark room lower than the ground floor with the sea and people laying a few metres from our balcony/terrace view. On the third day (we have stayed 10) the room was changed and we were charged 35€ extra for change. We got a nice bright room on the first floor. And... on our arrival day was my husbands birthday. Nothing. Even no card. Two members of staff were going to ask the manager about the situation... Zero

Good location, polite and friendly staff, large clean and comfortable rooms. Very tasty and different food with few options for meat eaters and vegetarians, a lot of seafood and fish everyday. Live music in the restaurant on breakfast time as well.

Breakfast was unfortunately less impressive, although it still offered a good variety. There were eggs done in different ways, with meat and vegetarian options to accompany them. However, the interesting selection of cheeses, cold cuts, and jams available at dinner was nowhere to be found. The hotel has no parking, but we usually managed to find a spot on a nearby street. However, I imagine this could be more difficult during busier periods.

The hotel was charming, with a unique style that we thoroughly enjoyed. It stood out among the other hotels in the area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very quiet for most of our stay, allowing us to leave well-rested. The beach is about a 2-minute walk away and offers an impressive view from the rooms and the restaurant. Dinner was quite good, with a decent selection of main courses and sides, including several vegetarian options. The highlight was the excellent cheese selection and the variety of desserts.

Our room was fine but could have done with refurbishment. The curtains were old and the bathroom, while nice and big, could have done with a proper extraction system and a non-slip floor in the shower.

The staff were cheerful, polite, friendly and extremely helpful. The food was amazing value both in quality and quantity. The location of the hotel is excellent and the interior design and architecture very impressive. The facilities in the room were fine and the wardrobe and drawers were excellent.

The hotel WiFi is bad. In the room, we always only have one or two signal, and we can’t even watch videos with the connection.

You’re able to walk down to the beach and sit at the bench facing ocean. And The first day we arrive at the hotel before check in time, the manager allow us to use the swimming pool bathroom to change and stay in the hotel, and also give us a particular card to be able to access to the beach from hotel

Gorgeous hotel with lovely areas outside and inside; creates relaxing atmosphere. Very clean and smells fresh. Staff are polite and very helpful, also very unnoticeable, but always there if you need them. Bar and restaurant prices not overpriced; delicious breakfast. Hotel is accessable for disabled guests.

It is a gorgeous hotel with a great view of Praia do Rocha. Comfy bed and spacious room. Friendly staff and good food variety in the breakfast and dinner. We would happily return in the future!

Praia da Rocha is purpose built for tourists escaping the winter in northern countries or in summer, people coming to enjoy the beach. We were there in March and this is a tour group hotel. Lovely people but there for a two week stay. Often there were several tour group in the hotel at the same time. Breakfast and dinner were included in their price. But if non tour people wished to have dinner the price was 29 euros each and the food was mediocre at best. There are excellent restaurants in town and the prices are very good and nowhere near 29 euros per person. Beach is lovely but 55 steps down and of course, then back up.

Unusual beautiful decor in lobby and public spaces. Very nice breakfast with good selection of hot and cold foods. Staff was very pleasant and helpful.

My biggest problem is that when we booked 3 months before we specifically asked to arrange a late checkout and were told to ask when we arrived. When we did this, they advised to ask on the morning of our checkout at which point were told that it was not possible. We were even willing to pay extra and still despite all this warning the hotel could not figure anything out. The dinner buffet was overpriced, at €30 the quality was not really good enough to justify it, while the breakfast was very repitive and it would be nice to have a few more options that they rotated.

Most of the staff were very friendly and accomodating, the cleaners especially were quick and efficient and did a very thorough job. The room size was really big and was great for a couple. The location was right on the beach with only a very short walk down some stairs to be sea side. Lastly it lived up to its name with most people were at least 30 and not a child in sight.

Maybe a little on the high side price wise, we might have liked another 1-2 nights here. But no complaint. I guess they know their value - it was a beautiful hotel, and we will definitely be back soon. A++++

We're a couple. 36 & 29. Loved this place. Beautiful hotel, pretty much 5 star quality, smallish pool, but big enough to enjoy, loads of room on the grounds for lounging in cabannas or sunbeds, stunning outside overlooking the beach, the pool probably not even needed with the beach just meters away. Room was perfect, big, modern, clean, class view, mini bar. The bar area is nice, breakfast and lunch in the hotel was excellent standard, lots of options. Staff really helpful and chilled. Location cant get any better, short walk to the strip of bars and restaurants, and right on the beach, also close to the marina for excursions. Loved this hotel, we will back next year for a longer stay.
