    “We booked the Holiday Inn fir 2 nights for Dave’s Day . The bikers were travelling from London to Barrow in Furness in honour of Dave Myers ( Hairy Bikers) and we wanted to be there as part of the celebration. We could not have booked a more perfect location… you could see the final stopping place outside of the hotel window and the town square where a stage had been set up. This hotel proved to be brilliant… from the warm reception on arrival, the attentive staff throughout our stay -and May I say, they worked very hard considering there were 46+ K bikers hit the town…the hotel was full!! Hats off to them fir their constant courtesy and willingness to help. The hotel was spacious, comfortable and clean with a lift for easier room access. We had free car parking and WiFi ( which was a first) compared to other such chain hotels. The part We loved the most was the kind gesture of the brochure and wooden spoon for Daves Day which was left in our room for us when we returned from a day of celebration. Thankyou so much… I think you have set the bar for hotels such as this and it will certainly be our first choice for future stays around the country.”

    “Location fantastic. Especially for Brockholes where I competed in the great north swim. Spacious room. Lovely grounds, entrance and bar area clean and fresh. Breakfast was good :) Beds comfortable and plenty of seating. Good channels on tv for our little one. Staff polite and helpful. Lovely gentlemen showed us to our room was very welcoming”

    “Our room was up 2 flights of steep stone spiral stairs, not great. The room was fine but had a large beam across it, at about 5ft, also not ideal. Breakfast was ok but not spectacular, we had dinner again ok, very limited choice for vegetarians.”
