Bathroom and room in general need modernising

I did not like that they only offered valet parking, and that the charge was $50.00 per day! Extremely expensive, considering that the public parking was around $23.00 per day.

External noise was a factor. Noise from early morning airplanes, noise from people on the street. I know that the hotel is not really in a position to do much about these things. The parking charge of $50 per day was, I thought, a bit excessive.

Air con controlled by building, the room was freezing, got an extra blanket and a heater. No buffet breakfast

Location was good, close to metro station and tourist spots On site mini shop with some good options. Nice communal dining/lounge area.

The windows allowed a good amount of air flow into the room . They could use weather stripping.

The room was very comfortable and the staff was very pleasant. Never ran out of hot water which was a huge bonus.

Had difficulty regulating the room temp, but not sure if that was user error. Parking is super expensive (not surprisingly), although there is a parking garage about 2 blocks away.

Location was excellent - safe, and close to Foggy Bottom metro station and plenty of restaurants. Could walk all the way to the Hill when we wanted to, or take the train. Room was spacious, beds were comfortable, staff was friendly, everything was clean.

Building is not the newest, but hotel makes the best of it.

Not super close to bars, coffee shops and restaurants. Too many steps to entrance and check in. Hard to manage with heavy luggage.

Location was very nice, walking distance to monuments and museums. Rooms were quit and comfortable. Staff was courteous and helpful.

Windows don’t stay open on their own. No hooks anywhere. Lights next to bed need shades. Desk too high/ chair too low - extremely uncomfortable and not usable.

Windows open! Great location near to Metro and grocery stores. Nice setup. Fridge.

The only minor complaint we had was about the poor water pressure in the shower and bathroom sink.

Air conditioner was very effective but a bit noisy

Friendly and responsive staff. Close to metro station which got us everywhere we needed. On site laundry also helps for a longer stay

I wish they had been more upfront about the $150 incidentals charge and the parking costs. There was some confusion there and we didn’t really have a choice but to pay it.

We went to DC at the end of April, the weather was bit cold, the nights were really cold. The hotel is in an old building with old windows, so it was just very-very cold! The AC didn't work (heat only in the winter) and it doesn't operate on room level, it is centralized. We got an electric heater, too small and too weak to heat at all, no extra blanket. The room was attached with the next room with a door, we were able to close it but I don't like staying in these attached rooms in hotels.

It is a very modern hotel, nice bedrooms, new bathrooms, mini fridge, coffee machine, big TV, full cover on the window for the nights. We were lucky to have a room at the 7th floor, nice view! The location is good, very close to the Foggy Bottom metrom station, WholeFood, Starbacks, 7eleven, just 3 mins away. The White House is ~20 mins away by walking. Georgetown is even closer (10 mins on foot) with many restaurants and good vibe. The lobby has a small grocery store, too. We were able to check in at 3PM with no extra cost.

Overall I thought the room was fine- more spacious than I expected. But the walls are painted a dark gray and there wasn’t enough lighting in the room to overcome the dark walls. I’m guessing that was a design decision. The other issue was that the window blinds were not adjustable and so you could not lower them to completely cover the window to block the lights from other buildings or the street.

Location is convenient to the metro.
