Situato a Matsumoto, a 47 km dal Japan Ukiyo-e Museum e a pochi passi dal Kappa Bridge, il Kamikochi Nishi-itoya Mountain lodge offre un ristorante, un salone in comune, un giardino e il WiFi... Beautiful accomodation, the food was incredible. We were nervous about the food but it exceeded all expectations. Highly recommend for a trip in Kamikochi. Brilliant location to climb Mount Yakedake.

Located in the historical Shibu Onsen district, 渋温泉小石屋旅館 offers both private and dormitory-style guest rooms as well as an on-site restaurant where local dishes, wines and craft beers are available. Great location at the heart of ryokan alley, very hospitable hosts that can shuttle you from the Yudanaka Station to their place free of charge (prior reservation needed), nice cozy restaurant with kotatsu (very relevant when it is cold), comfortable ryokan with lots of space and a gas heater. The host was shinning and always smiling, it gave us good mood for two days. Also she helped us out with the reservation for the onsen and gave us a ride to that place and brought us back in an hour. Shibu Onsen Koishiya Ryokan are the best and we will definitely stay here if we ever come back to Japan again. ps we also left some chocolate from our country and asked them to pin it on their big wall in their cafe. we hope you liked the chocolate!

Dotato di vasche termali all'aperto, di una piscina coperta riscaldata e di splendidi giardini giapponesi, il Senjukaku offre sistemazioni tradizionali in stile giapponese che hanno un fascino... I loved everything about this place. The location (walking distance to snow monkey park and to shibu onsen), the food, the rooms, the onsen was wonderful. It's a bit dated, but super well maintained. I actually liked the old school charm and luxury.

The staff were exceptional catering to our every need and the food was unusual and fantastic. It felt like a very authentic experience. The onsen was fabulous

A 7-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station, Yorozuya features hot spring baths, a hot tub and Japanese-style rooms with a private terrace and private bathroom. Albergo in puro stile giapponese per assaporare la cultura orientale. Staff gentilissimo, onsen meraviglioso.

Situato a soli 5 minuti a piedi dallo storico Santuario Togakushi, in una tranquilla zona di montagna, l'Oshi Ryokan, caratterizzato da un edificio principale con tetto in paglia risalente a 250 anni... Felt instantly comfortable and at home. Beautiful old building. Wonderful staff and food!

Situato a soli 10 minuti di auto dallo Snow Monkey Park, lo Yudanaka Onsen Yamazakiya offre semplici sistemazioni in stile giapponese con connessione WiFi gratuita. Akira and his mother were incredibly accommodating and made us feel at home. They made me dinner and breakfast (gluten free and vegetarian) which was amazing. Their private Onsen is lovely and the room was really comfortable. Would highly recommend

A 3-minute walk from Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort, Kadowakikan features ski-to-door access, a hot spring bath and free WiFi. The Japanese breakfast was delicious. Moreover, the onsen was very relaxing after skiing. The owner is the best, helped us guide to amazing restaurant, booked a skipass with a discount and brought us to the bus stop. Highly recommended!

Situato a 5 minuti a piedi dalla stazione ferroviaria di Yudanaka, lo Yudanaka Tawaraya Ryokan offre sistemazioni in stile giapponese con connessione WiFi gratuita e TV a schermo piatto, un servizio... The service as this Ryokan was 10/10, and was the most authentic one we stayed in during our 4 weeks in Japan. The staff were so lovely, and spoke great English. They showed us to our room, and gave us essentially a "room tour" whilst we drank complimentary tea. They gave us a map with nearby restaurants and ammenties noted on it. The private outdoor onsen was SO nice! You book a slot upon arrival, which you can access in the evening with 30 min slots. The onsen was large and the perfect contrast with the fresh cool air in the evening. Yukatas were provided for us as an option to wear around the hotel - both my partner and I are bigger than the average Japanese person (Wife is plus size, I am 6ft 2) and we both comfortably fit into the ones picked out for us. The only thing that threw us was that during breakfast, they cleared the beds from our room - had we known people would go in, we'd probably have neatened the room a bit haha! P.S don't skip the sushi restaurant a few doors down from the hotel. The sushi was EXQUISITE and they even have a phonetic Japanese to English page at the front so you can have a go at ordering properly with the chef.
