The room is not big, but very warmly decorated! The bed was very comfortable, slept very well! The kitchen is fully equipped and easy to use, perfect for cooking your own meals while traveling! The host was very friendly and warm-hearted, and the communication was very pleasant. He also prepared a welcome dessert for us! He really tried to make a sweet home for us!

The property is non-smoking and is set 12 km from Douro Museum. It is even better than in the pictures. The house is located in the middle of an athletic village, on the hill with grape wines and orange trees. A small church is nearby. The view can not be better. You can hear bells and roosters. We arrived late in the rainy evening. The owner was there to meet and greet us. He quickly showed us the property. We appreciated the little welcome touches like cookies and milk. No problem with the parking. And it is easy to get from the place to wineries and other local attractions.

Location was great, 15 minutes drive from main town and train (just know it's steep and winding so be careful). Lovely welcome basket and kitchen had everything you could possibly need. We were two friends staying so having two bedrooms was perfect.

The hosts thought of everything, including extras like a tray of port and almonds, local products, as a welcome. Very clean, kitchen had everything you need including basic spices and there was plenty of hot water for showers.
