Self check-in process was easy, sadly we had no contact with the host on this occasion (unless you count the dog greeting us as we arrived, which I loved). The room was massive, plenty of space for 3 adults and all of our luggage. They have a small kitchen with fridge and stovetop if you're planning to cook meals. This was our first clear night sky on our trip, so we got to see the northern lights which made our stay all the more special!!

We only stayed for one night but would have loved to of stayed longer. Our room was plenty adequate for two of us and the beds were so comfy. Great breakfast and friendly host.

Love that the property has a cosy, homely feel and you have a self check in.
We loved the waffle breakfast and choice on offer. We did have to eat quickly and run as we had a horse riding day to get to.

It's not close to town which makes it a good location for...
It's not close to town which makes it a good location for stargazing or catching the northern lights if the weather cooperates. There aren't many cottages giving you a degree of privacy that feels exclusive. It's close enough to Selfoss to be convenient for dining and basic needs. We used it as a springboard to all of Southwestern Iceland as far as Vik. Great location!
The property owners live on site and are amazingly responsive to any issue in addition to being courteous communicators.
