Very minor but on roof terrace bar took quite awhile for bar staff to take our orders. I went to the bar in the end and was ordered back to my table for them to eventually take our orders.

Really helpful staff gave us an overview of Bilbao and attended to all our questions. The room was immaculate and vey cool. Comfy enormous bed and good climate control.

The bathroom, lovely to look at, had some design faults. The most irritating was that the shower (which was good) drainage system couldn’t cope and water spread across the marble floor, making it slippery and quite dangerous. Ended up using towels to swab the floor every time!

Great location, easy walking distance of all main attractions. Convenient for public transport. Very welcoming, Reception was helpful with good information. Spacious, comfortable room, well equipped. Really good breakfast buffet with choice of freshly cooked options The roof top bar is a nice spot to relax

The spa (although separately operated) is extremely expensive for what you get. Also, booked a room with two single beds but this was not honored on arrival. However, they did provide us with two separate duvets and the bed is very large.

The room was a little dusty. The cleaner left us with one hand towel, one large towel and one bathrobe, which was weird given that there were obviously two of us.

Room was huge and beautifully decorated. Location excellent for all sightseeing and dinner places. We picked a high-floor room after a recommendation from a friend to ensure it was quiet.

Room wasn't cleaned very well, there was a layer of dust on everything and a sticky substance on my bedside table... As mentioned above, there were a staff member or two who were rude. Particularly when I asked about the marketing opt-in on the form you sign on check-in (stating I don't want to be opted into Radisson marketing), they took a rude tone as they explained that because we booked via Booking.com they don't have our email address anyway. That's all fine but (a) you can say this in a friendly way, and (b) change your form for booking.com visitors. Don't give people a form signing away marketing permissions when you have no ability to access their details. I care about how my personal data is processed and shouldn't be made to feel bad for asking about it.

Excellent location, beautifully done hotel (although stained hallways carpets - floor 5 - should be looked at IMO). Our room and bathroom in particular was very roomy and felt luxurious. Really appreciated the generous amount of conditioner available. Overall, the staff were good but there were a couple of front desk members who were not friendly and defensive in their response to simple questions. Other staff members made up for this. Breakfast was excellent and the rooftop area such a huge plus - even if we didn't get to enjoy it as much as we'd have liked to due to the weather.

I would have preferred to have received better instructions today, May 1st. The road was closed and taxis were not allowed near the hotel. The reception staff suggested walking about 10 minutes in the rain to access a taxi. They could have recommended taking the metro for three stations and then catching a taxi to the airport. This would have been more convenient, especially with five suitcases and two children. Additionally, it would have been nice to have enough towels for four people in the suite. However, these are just minor issues that do not affect the exceptional service and staff at the hotel. Nevertheless, it’s important to be prepared to inform customers correctly.
