The window of the bedroom cannot be opened. Besides, it was quite dirty with signs of humidity. The internet connection did not work well too.

The hotel has a great location! It is close to many restaurants and shops, there is a convenience store just at the corner. The hotel is nice and the staff is very kind. The bedroom was ok, it has the regular size of a Japanese hotel bedroom.

It's a fairly noisy area, had to have the window closed at night. Could also hear people in adjoining rooms sometimes. Shower head wasn't adjustable.

The step in front of the bathroom is very steep and dangerous. The aircon in the room is not controllable, you are not supposed to change the temperature. They set it too either hot or cold depending on the season and you can only turn it on or off. There are messages about it in the hotel. With the excuse of ecological reasons they have a fixed schedule of cleaning were they full clean the room only once every three days, the others they just change the towels and clean the trash bin. They also remake the bed but do not change the sheets nor they vacuum. They have a strict check out policy were you have surcharge if you are late more than 30 minutes.

The Hotel is located near the center of the city, a 5-minute walk from the nearest station. The staff is very friendly and polite. The hall is tastefully designed and comfortable. The room is comfortable, clean, and spacious, equipped with amenities such as a kettle, complimentary tea, a hairdryer, and the classic courtesy kit (shampoo, soap and conditioner). In the lounge there is a microwave and other amenities like toothush, the pijamas, scrub towel, shower cup, razor, and other little thing. The room was bigger considering the Japanese standards and the presence of a reading light and a standard power source on both sides of the bed adds to the convenience. There is a laundry at the second floor with the washing machine (400 yen per usage) and a dryer (200 yen per 30 minutes). They allowed us to leave our luggage after check out until evening.

Room was spacious. Staff were very friendly. Location was close to subway, shops, buses. Easy enough to find and the bathroom had a decent sized bathtub which was much appreciated after long days of walking.

Desk staff unfriendly. Cleaning staff very helpful. Kind size room so small that one size of the bed was rammed up against the wall. Plastic bathroom. It’s standard Japan and the standard reflects the typical mid range expectation of Japanese customers.

Excellent central location. The staff on the front desk are Japanese and at turns pedantic or simply cold. There was a distinct aura of racism about the manner of the staff at check-in. Otherwise, the location and the space are perfect. Shame about the attitude of the locals. If it wasn’t so obviously xenophobic then this place would be perfect for the price.

I luckily I found out that the toilet machine didn’t work out well during my stay. So the hotel offered me to change the room to the new room and again the new rooms didn’t work quite well. However, helpful and fixes anyway. There was no breakfast at the hotel. However, the hotel provides microwave machine to heat up at the lobby.

The location was perfect right next to the main road. Very convenient to commute from the hotel to downtown, or from downtown to the hotel. The room was Good enough for two people. So it’s not too small.

Smoking area seemed to be directly outside front doors, was quite noticeable when coming and going. Only one working dryer which saw long queues. Room was a bit dusty on arrival. We didn’t raise it but it must have been noticed as the day cleaners resolved it.

Great customer service. Clean and comfortable. This was our 3rd stay and I liked how they rearranged the lobby seating to smaller groupings. Water is available in the lobby as well as a variety of basic amenities to help yourself. All staff are friendly and helpful.

Hotel wifi was useless, and the power within the room was terrible. One Powerpoint didn't work, so constantly juggling charge up points. This is critical, as everyone travels with phones, tablets and cameras, as well as portable wifi and they need to be charged daily.

Location was good, and great connectivity to buses and the metro. Lots of choice with restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Slightly a little small though, but i guess this is good enough given the idea of a budget hotel. :))

Perfect location! Easy to access to anywhere to visit in Kyoto, and right beside there are convenient stores and popular street shops.
